Garmin Beta 22.83 Update for Fenix 6/Enduro/Tactix Delta/Quatix 6/Marq

On Aug 9, 2022, Garmin released Beta 22.83 update for Fenix 6, Enduro, Tactix Delta, Quatix 6 and Marq smart watches. This update is intended for Garmin users participating in the Garmin Beta program. I have written an article on how to participate and how to update the watch to the Beta software version.

What’s new on Beta Version 22.83 since 22.80?

hrv status update 22.83

This isn’t a big update, and there wasn’t anything new in this update, just a few bug fixes. After a night’s sleep, I encountered a problem when the HRV status showed “sleeping” and I had to stop it manually (which didn’t work the first time). After updating to Beta 22.83, the problem disappeared.

There was also a problem with updating the HRV status in the Garmin Connect app. After this update, the said problem no longer exists.

And if you are in the Beta program but haven’t received the update, on watch menu go to System->Software Update-> and select update and press Install.

Fixed on Beta Version 22.83

  • Fixed an issue with incorrect speed data being displayed on water-based activities including SUP and Row.
  • Fixed a potential UI issue in HRV Status glance.

  • Fixed an intermittent issue that would freeze the device when displaying a Training Status tip.
  • Fixed an intermittent issue that would cause the device to freeze when discarding or saving an activity.
  • Fixed an intermittent UI issue on the VO2 Max history graph.
  • Fixed an issue where additional information on the Training Status and HRV widgets would not be accessible when glances are turned off.
  • Fixed an issue where run/walk/idle splits in a multisport activity would report 0:00:00.
  • Fixed an issue where the device would be unable to successfully sync via wifi.
  • Fixed an issue where the device was not detecting floors climbed when in a Floor Climb activity as a part of a multisport.
  • Fixed an issue where the device was unable to send the 7 day history of HRV data to Garmin Connect.
